Urban Church Planting
We see a great need for urban church planting in our country today. There is a void in urban church plants that lasts the test of time. There is also a void in effective urban training for church planters. We can no longer turn a blind eye to the urban need for the gospel. Sin is flourishing in urban environments and it is spreading to everyone’s doorsteps. God’s strategy is to reach the world through His church. If we are going to impact our country for Christ, we need vibrant churches in urban communities across our country.
WHAT IS REBORN URBAN TRAINING CENTER
Urban Church Planting
Reborn Urban Training Center (RUTC) is an urban equipping vehicle for church planting. We believe that a movement of urban multiplication is dependent on healthy discipleship, intentional leadership development, and effective urban training. We focus primarily on training urban pastors/planters and missionaries for urban church planting.

To equip urban pastors, planters and missionaries to plant self-sustaining, gospel-centered churches in urban communities.
OUR VISION
To help raise up and send out urban pastors and missionaries to plant self-sustaining, gospel-centered churches in urban communities until we see a healthy church in every urban community in our country.
PREPARING FUTURE LEADERS
RUTC combines three major components to prepare future leaders to effectively minister in an urban context:
Participants will attend weekly workshops, seminars, and classes on various topics such as:
- understanding the urban mindset
- cross-cultural ministry
- urban evangelism
- fatherlessness
- gang relations
- urban economics
Participants in the Urban Church Plant Residency will:
- live life for one year in an urban context
- experience hands-on urban ministry
- build relationships with urban families
- learn about urban politics, community organizing and community development
Participants will develop leadership skills necessary for successful ministry, including:
- practicing spiritual disciplines
- creating and growing small groups
- team building
- developing leaders
- preaching God’s Word to the urban culture
- and ministering to children with trauma.
